If the system is not used on a long term basis, simulations

shall

be carried out and Ch. Engineer

shall

make

sure that all elements of the system are operating properly.

For that purpose, fill the cofferdams and methanol tanks about 80 % with FW to save time, then put the tanks

under pressure completing with nitrogen. Nitrogen system is operating and PV valves are checked.

Then, FW is pumped out using the methanol pumps.
